It's been 12 hours and I am now halfway through this thing. Yay me. Sadly, the second half is harder than the first, so the toughest part is still ahead of me.
In September, Kim and I are going to California. We'll be flying to San Fransisco and spending about four days or so there, then renting a car to drive down the coast to San Diego. We'll stop midway through that drive to relax and check out Hearst Castle, then spend sometime in San Diego before driving back up to Los Angeles/Anaheim to spend sometime there. All told, we'll be gone for two weeks.
While we're there, we'll be going to at least two baseball games (we already have tickets to see the Giants at PNC Park in San Francisco and the Padres in San Diego at Petco. We might see a game in Anaheim too, but we're not going to pre-buy them. The Dodgers are on the road), and are going to Arcade Fire and LCD Soundsystem at the Hollywood Bowl. We're probably going to spend two days at Disneyland, go to the San Diego Zoo (and possibly the San Diego Wild Animal Park), and Seaworld. We're considering going to a Six Flags as well, but I gotta check that out first. In San Fran, we'll go on a tour of the harbour and check out Haight-Ashbury (especially a big record store there that I've heard about) and Chinatown. We'll go to Old Town in San Diego and tour an aircraft carrier.
That's our plans so far. Anybody else have any suggestions for that area? Is going to Alcatraz worth it? Should we go to Hollywood for more than the Bowl? Anything we should skip?
